About Craig Spong

Two roles, one person

Craig Spong is the founder and chief executive of Syntegra, the business behind the Predictiv enterprise software platform. He is also the hands-on architect of Syntegra’s AI engineering capability: he designed the operating model described on this site, wrote the principles it enforces, and directs the harness that carries the work.

Both roles continue. This site does not announce a change at Syntegra, and nothing on it should be read as an offer of full-time availability.

What he has built

• An AI Operating Model for software delivery and support. People set direction and keep reserved decisions; agents carry defined work inside enforced controls; knowledge is maintained; outcomes produce evidence. See the operating model.
• The harness that realises it. Principles enforced as hooks and gates, generators and contracts, a phased lifecycle with evidence rules, a disposable self-updating fleet, and database-governed AI models. See the architecture handbook.
• Complex modules delivered through it. Established modules brought under governance, and new ones built from specification. See the case study.

Engagements

Craig takes on bounded engagements with organisations that want an AI delivery capability for an existing software estate, rather than a demonstration. Typical shapes:

• Assessment. A short review of how an organisation’s delivery would change under an AI Operating Model: which decisions stay human, which rules need enforcing, where knowledge should live, and what evidence would show progress.
• Design. A worked design of the operating model and controls for one delivery team, ready to pilot.
• Review. An architecture and assurance review of an existing AI delivery setup.

Scope, timing and terms are agreed for each engagement. This site does not state rates, hours or availability.
